    Transmitter SST70 series Spriano

    Transmitter SST70 series Spriano

The Spriano SST70 series transmitter measures liquid levels, density, and interface levels in open and closed tanks. It converts the hydrostatic thrust exerted by a displacer immersed in a liquid into a current signal proportional to the measured level through a mechanical force transmission system based on a torsion tube and a piezoresistive sensor.

The series is available in standard materials (Carbon Steel, AISI 316 & 321 Stainless Steel) and special alloys (Hastelloy C, Duplex, Titanium, Inconel, etc.), all conforming to the latest NACE requirements. The best measurement resolution is achieved under nominal density conditions. This implies that by reducing the measurement range, the output resolution Ru% varies according to the following equation:

    Ru% = 0.01 x 0.75 x 1.42 / (measurement range).

The nominal accuracy is below ±0.5%, including errors from non-linearity, repeatability, and hysteresis. The process fluid’s standard operating temperature ranges from -60°C to +200°C, and with the finned extension arm, it can operate beyond 200°C up to 450°C.
The Spriano SST70 series transmitter, with its adaptability, represents the best technology available on the market within the realm of measurement technologies that utilize Archimedes’ principle.

This principle states that any body submerged in a fluid (liquid or gas) experiences an upward force equal in magnitude to the weight of the displaced fluid. Significant advantages are observed when this technology is compared to similar principles such as LVDT or spring-type systems. The torsion bar principle allows not only for Top-mounted installations (at the tank head) but also adapts the measurement chamber to any type of process connection, including Top-Side or Top-Bottom solutions.
