With more than 100 years of experience, TERRANOVA group confirm itself as a strategic partner for the supply of process instrumentation even for very stringent applications as like as those for Italian Navy’s and worldwide Navies ships.
As a reliable partner, TERRANOVA started the cooperation with Italian Navy many years ago with the supply of famous SPRIANO’s pressure gauges on Enrico Toti submarine and on the Amerigo Vespucci ship.
The long-term collaboration continued with supply of instruments on FREMM and submarines to worldwide important Navies like the Indian Navy, Chinese Navy and Russian Navy (Admiralty Shipyards and others).
Along with worldwide business, TERRANOVA carried out significant supplies also in Italy for STOVL “Cavour” and “Giuseppe Garibaldi”.
On the LHD “Trieste” TERRANOVA supplied the SPG level indicators for the measurement of level in Kerosene tanks.
In our business, level measurement takes the scene: fuel tanks, oil, ballast, services, drinking water, black and grey waters are some of the applications where our 27I/T72 hydrostatic level transmitters play a key role. The high measurement’s accuracy allows the good management of ballast, of ship’s trim, draft other than consumption optimization.
With reference to level threshold, TERRANOVA can provide its own manufactured Ultrasonic Level Switches ASL, that can be used both for high/low level switching and for detection of water ingress. These instruments, extremely reliable and without moving parts, have been positively shock tested up to 1000G.
Pressure and delta-P based flow measurements are another flagship of TERRANOVA production, thanks to its T72, T7N (with LCD indicator) and T7D series and primary elements like orifices, calibrated orifices, wedge, venturi tubes ect. TERRANOVA can also provide “mini” flow transmitters, compact and with very small process connections (1/2”, ¾”). This solution grants an accurate flow measurement and allows installation on already mounted pipes and needs only few upstream/downstream diameters for flow stabilization. Moreover, the measurement’s accuracy is kept even if there are air bubbles in the fluid or if mechanical vibrations are present moreover and very important, any risk of clogging is avoided.
The transmitters can be manufactured in titanium and/or in special materials to suit low ER requirements.
